Abi Clarke

In the past (i.e. in the early 2020s comedians could have expected to play for years in the UK before being invited onto a TV panel and selling out arena tours. It's not easy right now. Comedy is one type of art that has been able to continue to be performed in front of a live audience. But, we're not going to see arena tours anytime soon. But one comedian from Bristol has managed to connect with a global audience via the social media lockdown. Abi Clarke was not planning up to become an online star. Abi Clarke, a 24 year old who lives in Henbury with her parents made her first videos online to "build a community of like-minded people who would be interested in my stand-up comic act." "I was performing more shows in Devon for men 50 and above, and I began making videos online in the hopes that I could build a following of like-minded people who would be interested in my stand-up comedy," Abi said.
